Kroger Now Delivers Groceries Through Instacart
Today it was pouring rain. So much so that school is already closed tomorrow due to road blockages. I had originally planned on doing my grocery shopping today but there was no way I was going to tote around a threenager in a torrential downpour (her attitude is enough of a storm on its own). So, I logged onto kroger.com to order groceries using ClickList. If you haven’t yet discovered the magic that is ClickList, I highly recommend giving it a try! You order all of your groceries online, choose a time to pick them up and then head to Kroger, where your groceries are brought out to your car and loaded for you. It’s pretty fabulous.
But it gets even better now. When I logged on to select ClickList, to my surprise, the site gave the option to have my groceries delivered. Yes, to my home. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been waiting for the chance to have groceries delivered for years!
Kroger’s delivery service is through Instacart, which hires independent contractors to do your grocery shopping for you and then deliver them. You do the same thing you would with ClickList, where you order everything online and then you receive text notifications that let you know when your shopper is shopping, if they have any questions and when they are headed your way. The first delivery is completely free and each follow up is $11.95 (+ the cost of groceries and tax). Totally worth it if you ask me!
I have to say, on days like today, when the weather is miserable or you just don’t feel like going to the store, this option is so nice to have! I’m not sure if every Kroger offers this service but it’s definitely worth checking into. Just go to kroger.com, enter your zipcode to find your Kroger location of choice and shop away!
